Learning Support Assistant - Temp-to-Perm SEN Opportunity (18+)

Randstad is urgently seeking highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSA) for a rewarding temporary-to-permanent position at a specialist school. This role is specifically designed for supporting young adults (18+) with complex needs (including autism and physical disabilities). The Role: Specialist SEN Support (18+)
  • Setting: Specialist school focused on complex needs education for young adults (18+).
  • Focus: Providing direct learning and behavioural support alongside experienced teaching staff.
  • Key Needs: Commitment to supporting students with complex needs, autism, and physical disabilities. Experience with challenging behaviour is beneficial.
  • Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), year-round (including school holidays).
  • Path to Permanent: Successful completion of a 12-week temporary period leads directly to a permanent contract.
Essential Candidate Requirements

To ensure success and rapid placement, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • DBS Status: Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check (Child and Adult).
  • Availability: Must be able to commit to full-time, Monday to Friday hours. Immediately available candidates preferred.
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to integrate effectively into a specialist team.
  • Transport: A driving license is highly recommended due to the school's location and public transport constraints.
  • Commitment: Genuine passion for and commitment to working with young adults with SEN and complex needs.
