Remedy Education is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist secondary school in Islington, supporting students with SEMH needs. The role centers on building positive relationships, promoting engagement and helping learners overcome barriers to learning.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people in SEN/SEMH settings, strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach in challenging situations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN or SEMH setting.
• Ability to support students with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be patient, adaptable and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Help create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.

Responsabilités

• Support students with SEMH needs in lessons and activities.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and behaviour support.

This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people, building positive relationships and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
