About the Role
A vibrant post-16 college in the Finsbury Park area is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a student with moderate learning needs, primarily autism. The student is part of a dynamic performing arts group, so the college is specifically looking for someone with a background in drama, theatre, or performing arts who can bring creativity, structure, and confidence-building skills to the role.

  • Assist with engagement in performing arts sessions and related activities
  • Encourage appropriate social behaviour and reinforce personal boundaries
  • Support learning, participation, and wellbeing in both group and individual settings
  • Work collaboratively with tutors, specialists, and the SEN team
Ideal Candidate:
  • Background in performing arts (drama, theatre, dance, stage production, etc.)
  • Experience supporting young people with autism or additional needs
  • Patient, proactive, and able to build supportive, professional relationships
  • Comfortable guiding a student who may be vulnerable or easily influenced
  • Reliable and committed to a long-term role
What’s On Offer:
  • Excellent hourly rate with a significant increase after 12 weeks
  • Supportive college environment with strong performing arts provision
  • Long-term role with opportunity for a permanent contract
