Job summary

Kingswood House School in Epsom seeks a Learning Support Assistant to support students with maths and English tasks, both in the classroom and one-to-one. You’ll work with teachers to adapt resources, boost confidence, and help students stay focused through exam periods.

The role prefers GCSEs in English and Maths and values experience with ASD or PDA, though not essential. The position is a 12-month contract at the KHS pay scale.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Experience with ASD & PDA would be desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in the classroom and one-to-one (sometimes both at the same time).
• Helping pupils to stay focused, engaged, and occasionally upright.
• Collaborating with teachers to adapt resources, boost confidence and decode teenage handwriting.
• Offering gentle encouragement (and maybe snacks) during exam season.
