Job description

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking two dedicated Learning Support Assistant - Full Time (ALS) to join our team at Slough and Langley College. On a Term Time Only Basis working 37 hours per week across 37 term time weeks per year.

Learning Support Assistant - Full Time (ALS)

The position of Learning Support Assistant - Full Time (ALS) involves enabling students to access the curriculum as fully as possible, supporting them to work towards their desired outcomes, achieving their learning goals and potential.

This contract offers full-time hours working 08:30 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 08:30 - 16:30 Fridays at our Slough and Langley College campus. You will be expected to work 37 term-time weeks per year. The salary range for these roles is 20,015.81 - 22,246.80 per year ( 24,098 - 26,784 FTE) depending on qualifications and experience.

Working under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and Lecturers to assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).This may include supporting whole classes; working with individuals and small groups of learners; assisting with planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities; working closely with pastoral and welfare staff in supporting students to overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.

To be considered for this role, you must have a GCSE or Level 2 equivalent in English and Maths as well as being confident communicating with learners of all capabilities and levels. A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential for this position.
