Job summary

Bishop Burton College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Student Support team. You will support students with a wide range of learning needs and work closely with staff to enable participation in academic and practical activities.

The role involves assisting students around campus and contributing to an inclusive, safe learning environment. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education.
• Experience supporting SEND advantageous.
• Patient and approachable with calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning difficulties, disabilities and additional needs.
• Provide individual and classroom-based support alongside teaching staff.
• Assist students around campus during breaks, lunchtimes and transitions.
• Help create an inclusive learning environment and promote safeguarding.
