An education provider in the South-East is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for the Construction Department. The role requires supporting students to access the curriculum, assisting with teaching, and working under the guidance of teaching staff. Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Construction Department at Slough & Langley College on a Term‑Time Only basis.
This role requires you to work 37 hours per week Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (16:30 on Fridays) for 37 term‑time weeks per year.
The responsibility of the Learning Support Assistant – Construction is to enable students to access the curriculum as fully as possible, supporting them to work towards their desired outcomes, achieving their learning goals and potential.
To work under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and lecturers to assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). This may include supporting whole classes; working with individuals and small groups of learners; assisting with planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities; working closely with pastoral and welfare staff in supporting students to overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.
