Location: Braintree, Essex Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day (Dependent on experience) Start Date: January 2026

We are currently recruiting for a vibrant and inclusive school in the Braintree area that is looking to expand its support team in the New Year. We are seeking proactive Learning Support Assistants who are ready to make a real difference to student attainment and well-being.

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, a graduate looking for school experience, or a support worker seeking better hours, this is a fantastic opportunity to earn a competitive daily rate.

You will be an integral part of the classroom, ensuring students with varying needs can access learning effectively.

  • Academic Support: Working 1:1 or in small groups to help students grasp concepts in core subjects.
  • SEN Support: Assisting students with Special Educational Needs (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia) to stay focused and organised.
  • Behaviour Management: Helping to de-escalate challenging situations and encouraging positive social interaction.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with the class teacher to prepare resources and create an engaging learning environment.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children (in schools, coaching, or care) is highly desirable to achieve the higher pay bracket (£110/day).
  • Personality: You must be patient, approachable, and able to build a rapport with students quickly.
  • Commitment: Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to the safeguarding of young people.
  • DBS: An active Enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
