An educational support organization in Launceston is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to empower learners with additional needs. You will provide one-to-one or small group support, fostering positive relationships and ensuring quality education. Candidates should have GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent, along with experience in an educational setting. Training and ongoing development opportunities will be provided.

The postholder will support learners, under tutor direction, to create environments where individuals with additional learning needs can achieve beyond their potential.
Bank Learning Support Assistants play a vital role in ensuring continuity and quality of provision when extra capacity is needed. You may work one‑to‑one or with small groups, supporting learners’ education, behaviour, and social development, particularly those with specific learning difficulties, disabilities, or health issues.
Being a Learning Support Assistant requires empathy, flexibility, and a commitment to nurturing and inclusive education. Training and occasional meetings may be required outside of your scheduled working hours.
