Job summary

Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 classroom support for a designated pupil. You will help with planned lessons, resource preparation, and safeguarding, while maintaining accurate pupil records.

The role requires a proactive, inclusive approach and prior experience with SEN students is highly desirable. The post is on a part-time basis (27.5 hours) for a fixed term through 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Level 2 equivalent
• Experience supporting pupils with individual needs, particularly those with SEN would be highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom support, planned and supervised by teachers.
• Assist with resource preparation, display and care and support of pupils including health care.
• Keep records of work to provide feedback and general support.
• Accurately record student records and liaise with colleagues, parents and carers when necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity within our SEND team.In this role you will play a key part in ensuring your designated pupil has access to a full and enriching school experience.
