Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join our successful and highly respected school as a Learning Support Assistant within our SEND department. You will work under the guidance of the school's SENDCo and other senior staff to provide support in addressing the needs of students who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning. You will support students with identified needs within classes, small groups and individual study, working with a wide range of academically able students with varying SEND needs. The role is diverse and requires a flexible approach to support the students and promote their welfare.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support under the guidance of SENDCo and senior staff to address students' learning barriers.
  • Support students with identified needs within classes, small groups and individual study sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to facilitate learning for academically capable students with varying SEND needs.

Qualifications
  • Experienced as an LSA/TA in upper Key Stage 2 or a secondary school.
  • Strong team‑working skills and a flexible, supportive approach to student care.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with required enhanced DBS disclosure.
