Learning Support Assistant – SEND support for children with complex needs

The Governing Body are looking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable learning support assistant who has a passion for supporting individual children and their specific needs. You will join our highly talented, supportive and friendly team at Dickens Heath School to provide some individual and small group support across the school day including learning and lunchtimes. Candidates need to hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or be working towards one.

  • An excellent practitioner with high expectations of all children
  • Proven track record of working successfully with children with complex special educational needs in a mainstream school with experience in an additional resource base or special school desirable.
  • Innovative and creative practitioner who can flex and adapt to meet the individual needs of children; able to act on initiative and deliver bespoke learning plans

  • Friendly, approachable and emotionally intelligent with good interpersonal and communication skills

Contractual hours: 3 days - 19.5 hours working 08:30-15:30. Preferably, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Salary: Band C - £26,824 - £29,540 pro rata.
