Learning Support Assistant

Spring Hill School, Ripon

32.5 hours per week

Salary £18,263.70 per annum

Term time only contract plus training days 39 Weeks

Contract type: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of Learning Support Assistants. You will support the change and re-invigoration of Cambian Spring Hill School. The senior leadership team has a clear vision for growth and positive change. We support students between the ages of 8-19 years to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to move forward in their lives.

In return, our new and improved training programmes will help you develop your professional skills. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and, just like our students, you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who are:

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience of working with children and/or young people in educational establishment
  • Experience of working with complex needs
  • Knowledge of the Educational, Health, Care Plan process
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act and confidentiality issues
  • Hold a recognised qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent) or working towards this within 1st year
  • Good general standard of education, particularly English & Maths at GCSE Level C or equivalent
  • Strong IT skills
  • L2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (desirable)
