Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for an independent specialist school in Crawley that supports children with severe and complex SEN. The role focuses on facilitating engaging lessons, wellbeing and social development.

You will deliver 1:1, small group and whole-class support, helping the “whole child” with learning, confidence and life skills. Working hours are 8:30–4:30, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Relevant SEN experience (desirable)
• Previous experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
• English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
• Eligibility to work in the UK

This school is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join the team. In this role you're offered the opportunity to train and progress in a supportive working environment. Your role will entail supporting children on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis. You're supporting the 'whole child' so in addition to supporting their education you're also integral in ensuring their well Being, building their confidence, developing life skills and encouraging socialisation.

This role is required on a full time permanent basis and is a term time only role. Applicants will be expected to work Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm.
