Responsibilities
  • Supporting learners academically, socially and pastorally to help them succeed
  • Working with tutors to prepare learning materials, track progress and reinforce instructions during activities
  • Promoting inclusion, maintaining good discipline and supporting learners around campus
  • Assisting with mobility, personal care, specialist equipment and acting as a reader/writer in assessments
  • Attending meetings, maintaining records and contributing to an inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or teaching adults and young people with additional learning needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage challenging behaviours and situations
  • Good written and verbal skills, IT competence and flexibility
  • Ability to travel as required
  • EWC registration, an Enhanced DBS, and proof of right to work in the UK are required
  • Basic Skills Support qualification, ALN Support qualification (or willingness to achieve), First Aid

This is a temporary position for a long term period up to February 2026, with a potential to be extended until the end of the academic year. You'll be working part time, 3 days / 19.5 hours per week (days to be confirmed).

You'll be starting on an hourly pay rate of £12.66 per hour, plus weekly pay, holiday accrual and other benefits and based in the Rhos on Sea area.
