Position: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: Outer London Support Scale

Smart Teachers is seeking a committed and proactive Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive mixed secondary school in East London. This temporary role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a positive learning environment.

The Role:
  • Providing in-class support across KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting students with a range of additional needs, including mild SEND or learning barriers
  • Working alongside teachers to deliver targeted interventions and small-group support
  • Helping maintain a focused, productive classroom atmosphere
  • Assisting with pastoral care and promoting positive student behaviour
  • Supporting teaching staff with general classroom duties and daily routines
