At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs for a fantastic SEN secondary school in the Chichester area. The school have an amazing outdoor area to expand the student's learning outside the classroom setting. They take pride in making sure that they provide a safe and joyful environment so that the children can progress and thrive in their education.

The successful candidate will have the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the children. You will be required to work with children who that needs additional support with their learning. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all our candidates.

Job role

• To support the children's development across all areas of their development
• Support and encourage positive behaviour management
• Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
• To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
• To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
• To be able to provide personal care if needed
