Stepgates School in Chertsey is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive mainstream primary team. You will work alongside teachers to support learning, communication, social and emotional development, and provide tailored support for children with a range of additional needs.

The role may involve assisting pupils with medical or personal care and intimate hygiene, maintaining safeguarding standards, building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff, and

Responsabilidades

• Support learning, communication, social and emotional development alongside the teaching team.
• Assist pupils with medical, personal care and toileting/intimate hygiene needs when required.
• Contribute to safeguarding and child welfare during the school day.
• Support SEND, nurture and neurodiversity initiatives and learn and implement strategies.

Learning Support AssistantStepgates School, ChertseyStepgates School is an inclusive and forward-thinking mainstream primary school with a Specialist Centre for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), a dedicated Nurture Hub, and a growing neuro-diverse school community. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support children with a range of additional needs. The role involves working alongside teachers to support learning, communication, social and emotional development, and may include supporting some pupils with medical, personal care and toileting/intimate hygiene needs. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm Contract: Permanent Start Date: As soon as possible Term Time + 3 INSET Days

We are looking for someone who:

• Has GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent preferable but not essential)
• Is passionate about supporting children to achieve their potential
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
• Has patience, flexibility and a nurturing approach
• Is committed to inclusion and supporting children with a wide range of needs
• Is willing to support pupils with medical and personal/intimate hygiene needs
• Understands the importance of safeguarding
