We are Nacro. We see your future, whatever the past.
We believe that everyone deserves a good education, a safe and secure place to live, the right to be heard, and the chance to start again, with support from someone on their side.
That’s why our housing, education, justice and health and wellbeing services work alongside people to give them the support and skills they need to succeed. And it’s why we fight for their voices to be heard and campaign together to create lasting change.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about helping young people to learn and achieve, and who can help them be ready to take their next steps. We need someone who is compassionate in their approach, and who can work with young people who may have varied and sometimes complex needs. We want someone who is flexible and can be part of a small, local team who come together in all circumstances to put our students first.
As a key member of the team, your main focus will always be supporting students to access learning in the classroom, assisting and enabling them to make progress and achieve. With your detailed understanding of individual student needs, you will work with teachers and others to implement adaptations that students need to participate and flourish and may provide advice to colleagues about how to best intervene or work with individuals. You will also play an important role within the centre community, supporting students pastorally to gain confidence and independence.
