Job summary

A leading education provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Outreach Tutor in Grays to provide personalized tuition for students with additional needs. In this role, you will create tailored lesson plans and support students' re-integration into education. Candidates should have a valid child-related qualification and experience working with SEND. The contract offers flexible hours between 6 to 30 hours per week with a competitive pay rate of £20 - £25 per hour.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Learning Outreach Tutor - Grays

Outreach Learning Prospero Teaching works closely with Local Councils and Schools across the UK, and we currently have a strong need for experienced one-to-one SEN Tutors in Grays.

As an Outreach Tutor, you'll create, plan and deliver personalised 1:1 sessions for each student. Your role is to support their re‑integration into education, offering tailored tuition that replaces school during this period. Every young person receives a set number of hours, and Prospero will support you throughout by checking progress and requesting weekly reports.

Duration: Until a School placement is secured
Contract type: Temporary
Hours: 6-30 hours P/W

Rate of pay: 20 - 25 P/H via Umbrella Company

Your Role
  • Provide one-to-one or small‑group tuition for students with SEND, helping them build confidence, life skills, independence, and safe community access simple cooking.
  • Create and adapt individual lesson plans that target specific learning needs.
  • Track progress and offer regular, constructive updates to students and their families.
Eligibility
  • Child-related or Education qualification.
  • Previous UK education experience.
  • Experience working with SEND.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
  • Ability to provide references for the past two years.
