We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our Inclusive Care and Support team, providing guidance and support for students at risk of underachieving. You will work closely with Heads of Year, the Leadership Team, and teaching staff to support students’ integration into mainstream lessons and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students who may be in challenging circumstances or displaying difficult behaviour.
  • Identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to support student achievement.
  • Assist in reintegrating students into mainstream school where appropriate.
  • Participate in occasional evening meetings and maintain flexibility in working hours.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress monitoring.
Person Specification
  • Experience working with young people in a school environment.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational and ICT skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external partners.
  • Confident and adaptable, with a commitment to raising student achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
