Learning Manager

Outwood Academy Hindley, a Good in all areas of Ofsted, invites applications.

Overview

Hours: 37 hours per week Term time plus 15 days. Contract: Permanent. Salary: Grade 7 SCP 15-17 (26,690.68 to 28,770.14). Start: January 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and support all students in a specific year group, providing a familiar friendly face and role model.
  • Understand the challenges faced by secondary school students, particularly vulnerable students.
  • Work closely with the Inclusion Team and Vice Principal to devise intervention strategies to support academic achievement.
  • Emphasise intervention and student tracking using the Praising Stars system.
  • Attend case conferences and other meetings; prepare referrals and reports for students needing intervention.
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, optimism, celebration and mutual support, promoting equality and valuing diversity.
