Job summary

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Practice Education Facilitator to influence the quality of the clinical learning environment by providing support and development activities for Practice Assessors/Supervisors and students.

The role covers maternity leave for 12 months and requires working 27 hours per week (0.72 WTE). The postholder must be a Registered Midwife with UK NMC Pin and have evidence of CPD and mentorship/training experience to improve standards and patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with UK NMC Pin and CPD evidence.
• Experience in mentorship/teaching or equivalent.
• Experience working with students/preceptorship midwives.
• Proficient clinical skills including venepuncture, cannulation, perineal suturing and episiotomy; able to give feedback.

Responsibilities

• Cover maternity leave for 12 months.
• Work 27 hours per week (0.72 WTE) with existing post holder to make 1.0 WTE.
• Promote high standards of care through role modelling and leadership.
• Facilitate high quality learning in classroom, simulation and clinical areas.
