Job summary

Mencap in Belper is seeking compassionate FEMALE SUPPORT WORKERS to join our team. You will support individuals with learning disabilities with daily activities and emotional support, helping them achieve their goals in a supported living setting.

The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, with shifts from 07:00 to 23:00 across a rotating pattern. A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care is preferred, but we will support training; driving licence is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Relationship-building to gain trust and establish open communication.
• Patience and understanding to navigate challenging situations.
• Conflict resolution techniques for constructive handling of disputes.
• Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities and provide emotional support.
• Assist with personal care, finances, activities and daily living tasks as needed.
• Engage clients in activities and day trips to promote well-being.
