Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Abergavenny. You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with learning disabilities, helping them to live independently. Ideal candidates will have a caring nature and at least 6 months of experience in social care. Immediate starts available with a pay of £13.68 p/h. A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.

  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.

The role

What you’ll be doing as a Support Worker:

You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions. You will treat each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty, helping them progress through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi‑professionals.

What you’ll need to be successful as a Support Worker:

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
