Overview

Location: London - Various Locations
Shifts: Flexible working hours
Salary: £13.20 - £15.35 per hour (with the ability to access a % of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts!)

SweetTree Home Care Services is looking for dedicated Learning Disability Support Workers to join our award-winning team. If you're an experienced, dedicated support worker with a deep understanding of individuals' needs and the importance of person-centred care, we want to hear from you. You’ll receive specialised training and have the opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and clinicians. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time positions, we ideally require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 3-hour visits per client to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Supporting individuals with household tasks and upkeep
  • Administering medication

  • Accompanying individuals on shopping trips and outings
  • Coordinating and attending medical appointments

Eligibility Criteria
  • Minimum 3 months work experience with learning disabilities and autism is a strong advantage
  • The ability to connect professionally and empathetically with elderly or disabled clients, even in challenging situations
  • Cultivate a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being
  • An understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities who are vulnerable within society
  • Ability to administer medications, making a meaningful difference in their health journey
  • Ability to help with grocery preparation and meal planning based on clients' preferences and needs
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling, and health & safety standards
  • A passion for enabling person-centred care and support
  • The ability to maintain meticulous records and documentation
