Job summary

I am actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Ystrad Mynach. The service supports those with learning and mobility difficulties with personal care, medication administration, food preparation, and community access.

Overview

  • Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)
  • Driving licence preference: Full UK driving licence (preferred, but not essential)
  • DBS: Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
The role

What you’ll be doing as a Support Worker:

You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions. You will treat each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty, helping them progress through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi‑professionals.

What you’ll need to be successful as a Support Worker:

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
