Job summary

Tamfol is recruiting an Activity Support Worker for maternity cover in Birmingham. You will care for adults with learning disabilities, supporting daily living tasks and personal care, while maintaining a person-centered approach and building strong relationships with clients and their families.

Shifts are 7am to 7pm, with weekday and weekend work required. Prior health and social care experience is preferred, with NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in health and social care.
• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Look after physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of clients using a person-centered approach.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, friends and stakeholders.
• Provide personal care and support to clients with diverse needs and disabilities.
• Assist clients with morning routines, personal hygiene, dressing and continence management.
• Attend training and staff meetings.

We are a privately run care home whom pride ourselves on delivering high standards of care to 20 residents living with Learning Disabilities.

• To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person centered approach.


• To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and other stakeholders.


• To provide personal care and support to Clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities.


• To assist Clients getting up in the morning and going to bed at night, to wash, bath and shower.


• To assist Clients to dress and undress, also look after their skin, teeth, hair and nails, continence management and personal hygiene.


• To attend regular and necessary training and staff meetings.


• Shifts are 7am to 7pm. (None Negotiable).


• Suitable candidates would be required to work weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications and Skills

Health and social care NVQ level 2 would be an advantage or an equivalent qualification

Must have at least 1-year experience working in Health and Social care.
