Job description

Lambeth CAMHS are looking to recruit a Learning Disability Nurse to support our Neurodevelopmental Pathway within our community CAMHS service.

We welcome an experienced and motivated RLDN, RMN or RCN with a background in working with children and young people who have neurodiverse presentations including ASD, LD and ADHD.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide care coordination and therapeutic support for CYP & families in Lambeth CAMHS Neuro‑developmental Pathway.
  • Conduct clinical assessment, treatment, risk assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes for neuro‑diverse children and young people across the tiers of intervention in CAMHS.
  • Deliver supportive groups to promote wellbeing of CYP and families referred to the service.
  • Provide training, consultation and advice to junior team members and other clinicians on neuro‑diversity issues.
  • Collaborate closely with other clinicians in the Neurodevelopmental Pathway to enhance the clinical offer for CYP with neurodevelopmental conditions across Lambeth.
  • Serve within the Lambeth CAMHS Community Team (River Team tier 3).
Qualifications & experience
  • Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RLDN), Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Clinical Nurse (RCN) with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASD, LD, ADHD or similar neurodiverse presentations.
  • Strong skills in care coordination, therapeutic support and group facilitation.
