Job summary

A community-focused advocacy organization is seeking a Learning Disability Groups Advocate. This part-time role (14 hours/week) involves supporting adults with learning disabilities in Sutton and remotely. Responsibilities include facilitating advocacy groups and empowering individuals to address their mental health needs. Ideal candidates will have experience in supportive roles, excellent communication skills, and a good standard of education. A full, clean UK driving license is preferable.

Qualifications

• A good standard of education to at least NVQ Level 3 / A-level.
• At least 1 years’ experience with learning disabled adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person and online groups in the Sutton borough.
• Empower individuals to develop coping strategies.
• Manage a caseload of individuals requiring support.
