Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join a Learning Disabilities service in Grimsby. The role supports individuals with learning disabilities/autism at risk of offending, collaborating within a psychology-led MDT to reduce risk and promote independence.

Open to experienced clinicians, with a locum contract of up to 30 hours per week. Competitive salary, NHS pension, and flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level training in Clinical or Forensic Psychology (BPS accredited).
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience with complex cases and challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication, leadership, and consultation skills.
• Post-doctoral training in specialist areas.
• Experience in service development and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to colleagues and partner agencies.
• Take a senior role in managing complex cases and risk assessments.
• Deliver offence-specific therapeutic interventions and treatments.
• Chair and facilitate complex case reviews and multi-agency meetings.
• Contribute to service development, policy review, and research initiatives.
• Communicate complex psychological formulations and treatment plans effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
