Location: St Asaph  
Contract Type: Temporary Full Time  Hourly Rate: 18.41
End Date: April 2026

About the Role

As a Learning & Development Trainer, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering training programmes tailored to meet the needs of our staff. Your contributions will ensure that personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and embrace future challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging training materials and documentation.
  • Facilitate training sessions for various programmes, including IPLDP, PCSO, and Special Constable training.
  • Lead the delivery of the upcoming PEQF curriculum in collaboration with Bangor University.
  • Provide post-training support and guidance to enhance learning retention.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and monitor trends to continuously improve programmes.
  • Contribute to team planning processes and take a lead role in project development.
  • Assist with examinations and assessment centres, ensuring a fair and supportive environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong skills in training design and delivery.
  • Familiarity with the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme and the PEQF Curriculum.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and knowledge of relevant legislation (Data Protection, Computer Misuse).
  • A full driving licence and the ability to travel across the Force area.

Desirable Qualifications

For unqualified roles: PTLLS or equivalent Level 3 training qualification, with a commitment to completing a Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification.
For qualified roles: Cert. Ed or equivalent qualification, or a Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification.

Welsh Language Skills

Verbal: Level 3 - Ability to converse partly in Welsh is a plus!
