Job description
Learning & Development Partner

Doncaster (regular travel required to Lincoln, Hull and Nottingham) | Full-time, permanent

Salary: £35,000 per annum

At Acuity Care Group, we believe learning isn’t about ticking boxes — it’s about confidence, competence, and culture. We’re looking for a Learning & Development Partner who wants to shape how people grow, support our services nationwide, and deliver training that genuinely makes a difference.

This isn’t a sit‑behind‑a‑screen role. You’ll be out there — in training rooms, services, hubs, and virtual classrooms — helping colleagues feel prepared, supported, and ready to deliver exceptional care.

What you’ll be doing

Delivering brilliant learning – You’ll run induction, mandatory, and specialist training that’s engaging, inclusive, and rooted in best practice. Virtual, classroom, hands‑on — you’ll do it all.

Shaping a strong learning culture – Encouraging reflection, building confidence, and making learning something people look forward to, not dread.

Keeping compliance on track – You’ll maintain accurate records, support services with training requirements, and help keep our people safe and competent.

Supporting new starters – From day one in induction to in‑service competency sign‑off, you’ll ensure colleagues get a consistent, high‑quality onboarding experience.

Bringing people together – You’ll work closely with Operations, Quality, Compliance, Recruitment, and the wider People Team to plan training, solve problems, and keep communication flowing.

Being visible, supportive, and proactive – You’ll travel to services across the country, represent the L&D team, and occasionally support assessment days to help new starters understand our standards and values.

What you bring
  • A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Learning & Development, Education & Training, CIPD L&D, AET/PTLLS, or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering training — ideally in health or social care.
  • A solid understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • Confident facilitation skills across both classroom and virtual settings.
  • Strong organisation, time management, and the ability to work independently.
  • A calm, engaging communication style — someone who builds rapport quickly and brings out the best in others.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally with overnight stays when needed.

Bonus points for: CPI Instructor status, Moving & Handling Assessor qualification, EFAW Trainer, PBS or Trauma‑Informed Practice knowledge, or a Health & Social Care qualification.

What makes this role different?

You won’t just be delivering slides. You’ll be influencing how people learn, embedding best practice, and helping shape a culture where colleagues feel supported and competent. You’ll have autonomy, variety, and a team that values fresh ideas and continuous improvement.

If you want a role where you can see the impact of your work every day — this is it.
