Wester Herts College – an internal only position at the Watford Campus (WD17 3EZ).
Salary: £15,553.16 (unqualified) – £18,935.28 (qualified Level 5 and above). Salary determined by qualifications and experience.
Provide expert advice and guidance on all Learning & Development matters. Lead new L&D projects aligned to organisational strategy and objectives. Develop, review and maintain L&D policies and procedures. Promote and embed a coaching and mentoring culture. Partner with HR leadership on annual talent review processes. Assess training and capability needs across departments. Design and deliver high‑quality learning programmes, including leadership, induction and personal development training. Maintain and deliver the Annual Training Plan. Evaluate learning interventions, reporting on ROI and key performance indicators. Maintain compliance matrices and conduct annual stakeholder reviews. Design, develop or source digital learning content.
Talent Pathways & Career Development: Advise on professional and academic qualification routes. Maximise use of the Apprenticeship Levy. Produce monthly compliance reports and quarterly L&D KPIs. Support budget planning and management for L&D spend.
Exceptional organisational, planning and communication skills. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance short‑ and long‑term priorities.
Location: UK with national travel. Employment Type: Full‑time, permanent. Salary: £50,000‑55,000 plus 10% bonus (company & personal).
Hybrid role: typically requiring 1–2 days per week in office or at a national location (Hertfordshire/Essex), remainder working from home. Head office based in Victoria.
Open to part‑time options (3/4 days per week).
