Learning Development Lead
Location: Bolton
Rate: £46

We are looking to recruit a Learning and Development Lead to join our busy Principle Social Work Team. The core hours of this position are from 9am -5pm (Monday to Friday).

Role deliverables are as follows:

Line management of the Learning and Development Practitioner who has responsibility for Induction, Exit Interview, RIP link, and SWE registration support, PDR support.
Delivery of the Practice Education (PE) programme with the support of the ASYE and Practice Education Lead, including providing PE training and PE mentor training on a rota basis across the GM Academy
Oversight of the ASYE Programme and line management of ASYE and Practice Education Lead including supporting the ASYE and Practice Education Lead evaluating and reporting on the ASYE programme annually
Line management of the ASYE and Practice Education Lead who has responsibility for supporting the identification and support of RTSW mentors (RTSW programme co-ordinated via the GM Academy)
Forming University and GM Academy relationships and partnership working to support co-ordination of student placements
Line management of the ASYE and Practice Education Lead who has responsibility for working closely with university skills coaches to facilitate work-based learning requirements and complete assessment in practice with skills coach support.
Supporting a culture of learning and continuous improvement at events such as practice weeks and staff engagement sessions
Ensuring high standards of the profession are met and the delivery of excellent services to the residents of Bolton via the delivery of the ‘Focus on the Fundamentals Framework’ which forms part of our QA close the loop activity.
Promote the recruitment and retention of Social Workers at internal and external events
To facilitate or participate in the development and delivery of training programmes
Management of generated funding steams i.e. practice learning and ASYE
Full-time post – 37 hour per week

We operate a hybrid working arrangement, however candidates must be able to be office based in Bolton to meet service needs.

Requirements
  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
