Our Fortune 500 Medical Device client has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Design Specialist.

Job Summary

We’re seeking a highly organized and flexible Instructional Design Specialist to join our Sales Training team. This temp-to-hire opportunity begins with a strong focus on program coordination and logistics but also requires instructional design expertise to lead the development of a new learner pathway for our Urologic Cancer franchise.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing complex training schedules and logistics while also contributing strategically to curriculum design and content development.

This position is also responsible for supporting the content and layout of results-oriented training modules and materials, development and execution of training solutions identified in partnership with the Sales Training Manager, recommendations for program improvements, and maintenance of existing training courses, communications, and presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage training schedules for five learner cohorts.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and physician staff to schedule OR time and on-site training logistics.
  • Track attendee completion and manage communications.
  • Maintain and update Microsoft Teams sites for each cohort.
  • Collaborate with Sales Training Managers to evaluate training success.
  • Lead working sessions with SMEs to define learner profiles and clinical/functional objectives.
  • Design and develop a new learner pathway for the Urologic Cancer franchise, integrating newly acquired product content.
  • Review existing curriculum and determine optimal delivery formats for new material.
  • Manage content development projects and timelines.
  • Write the content for training and communications.
  • Recommend instructional/graphic methods for conveying information.
  • Work with the Managers to coordinate and streamline the training setup and execution of various classes & meetings.
  • Assist with planning and execution of sessions at the Sales Meeting.
  • Support logistics and material preparation for New Hire Training and Business Essentials courses (each offered twice annually).
  • Submit finalized content into APPROVE for compliance and review.
Required Qualifications
  • BA in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years instructional design, curriculum development and technical writing experience.
  • Proficiency with Articulate Storyline (or similar e-learning authoring tools) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft product suite (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and learning theories.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in learning design.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new terminology (e.g., medical terminology, sales terminology).
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with data analysis and evaluation methodologies.
  • Design Thinking or Agile Methodology.
Other Details
  • Schedule: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM (40 hours per week).
  • Work Setup: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Marlborough, MA.
  • Contract Length: 12 months (11/3/2025 - 11/3/2026).
