Job summary

The de Ferrers Academy in Burton-on-Trent is seeking a confident, adaptable cover supervisor to maintain a purposeful learning environment during teacher absence and ensure pre-prepared work is delivered effectively.

You will help students stay on task, manage classroom behaviour in line with academy expectations, and communicate clearly to build positive relationships with students and staff. 37 hours per week, 39.25 weeks per year, immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a purposeful learning environment and supporting students to stay on task as teacher absence requires.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with academy expectations and providing clear guidance to help students progress.
• Communicating clearly, building positive relationships with students and staff, and demonstrating a calm, professional approach.
