As a Learning Content Designer, you’ll hold the unique privilege of shaping how our colleagues learn and develop, ensuring every learning experience is engaging and meaningful.

In this role, you’ll design and deliver impactful training across digital, face-to-face, and blended formats, creating resources that inspire confidence and nurture potential. Partnering with subject matter experts and our Practice Development Facilitators, you’ll ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with learner needs.

By applying instructional design principles and harnessing creative tools, you’ll craft engaging, accessible learning that empowers colleagues to thrive while driving the continuous improvement of our learning platforms.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Design and develop learning content for in-person sessions; digital learning content/courses; blended learning journeys; workshops and webinars; multimedia video content.
  • Utilise adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure accuracy and relevancy of learning content.
  • Translate complex information into digestible and accessible learning experiences.
  • Use creative software.
  • Manage the integration of third-party learning content into our learning library.
  • Conduct Needs Assessments.
  • Review, update, version control, and quality management of learning materials.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Learning Content.
  • Maintain own continuous professional development, and stay updated with learning insights, and innovative solutions.
  • Support Learning Management System (LMS) Administration.
  • Provide support to the wider People & OD Team / Practice Development Facilitators
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven track record in creating and delivering high-quality learning content
  • Experience of working with subject matter experts to create innovative and engaging learning content
  • Practical experience conducting training needs analyses and evaluating learning effectiveness
  • Good understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models
  • Expertise in designing engaging, learner-centred content across multiple formats (e-learning, workshops, webinars)
  • Proficiency with learning authoring tools
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM compliance
  • Preferably hold formal certification in Instructional Design or eLearning Development (e.g., CIPD, ATD)
