Job summary

The Glasgow Academy is seeking a Prep School Classroom Assistant for the Kelvinbridge campus. The role involves supporting pupils’ learning both in and out of the classroom, and contributing to a stimulating educational environment.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and reliable, able to work within a competent team to deliver services in a dynamic educational setting, with a commitment to developing a culture of learning in the Prep School.

Qualifications

• Duties include supporting pupils’ learning both in and out of the classroom.
• Playground supervision and safe supervision of pupils during breaks.
• Preparing teaching materials and helping create a stimulating visual environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils’ learning in the classroom and elsewhere as directed by teachers.
• Provide playground supervision to ensure safe play and positive conduct.
• Prepare teaching materials and resources for lessons.
• Help to maintain a visually engaging and conducive learning space within the school.

The Post

We are seeking a Prep School Classroom Assistant for our campus at Kelvinbridge. Theideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable individual, able to work aspart of a competent, confident workforce capable of delivering services in a constantlychanging and evolving educational environment with a commitment to developing aculture of learning within the Prep School.

Duties are varied but will include supporting pupils’ learning both in and out of theclassroom to complement the work set by the teachers, playground supervision,preparing teaching materials and helping to create and maintain a stimulating and variedvisual environment within the school.
