The role:
- As Learning & Development Manager you will have responsibility for the strategic development and delivery of the learning strategy and will manage operational training across all areas of the business.
- The Learning & Development Manager will work with stakeholders across the business to enhance the learning culture through developing high quality training programs that are aligned with people and business objectives
- Reporting to the People & Culture Director the Learning & Development Manager will identify skills gaps, capability requirements and priority development areas to ensure the development and support for the teams across the business
- The Learning & Development Manager will design and deliver leadership programs to strengthen management capability, coaching skills and team performance
- In the role the Learning & Development Manager will lead the roll out and success of a new digital learning platform (LMS) ensuring engaging, accessible user friendly content.
- The Learning & Development Manager will maintain training records and will produce reports to be shared across the business.
- Managing a Learning & Development Co-ordinator the Learning & Development Manager will also support 8 area trainers (report into operations)
Ideal candidate:
- You will have strong proven experience in a learning and development role either from UK hospitality or from a food retail environment – this must be supporting a multi-site operation
- For the Learning & Development Manager role you will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles along with learning design and delivery methodologies
- You will have designed and delivered a leadership development program ideally with managers and assistant managers.
- You will have experience of implementing or managing a digital learning platform (LMS)
- It is essential that the Learning & Development Manager has fantastic coaching skills along with a proven track record in stakeholder management, engagement and communications
- Essentially you will have a data driven mindset and will be focused on delivering ROI on training initiatives.
- You will have excellent project management skills along with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Being creatively aware and forward thinking you will thrive in a fast paced dynamic team focused environment that is successful through cross functional working to deliver shared objectives
- The company is a significant business but is family owned and has a family feel and culture
- Ideally you will have managed 1 person
