Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing accountancy and business advisory firm as our Learning and Development Lead. As the Learning and Development Lead you will establish and lead the capability and performance strategy to foster a high performance culture. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating comprehensive programs that enhance business capability and performance including leadership and management development, designing job architectures, competency frameworks, skills mapping and performance frameworks. Provide oversight for the development and ongoing evolution of CPD, apprenticeship programmes, and early career development initiatives and not forgetting technical training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking people development strategy that builds capability and drives performance and nurtures talent across all levels.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify workforce development needs and align learning initiatives with business priorities
  • Design and implement leadership development initiatives to build future leaders
  • Design and implement management development to build management capability across the business
  • Develop and implement effective performance management processes that encourage accountability and growth
  • Support design and implementation of Job Architecture Career Frameworks
  • Conduct skills audit and skills mapping
  • Provide oversight for the development and ongoing evolution of CPD, apprenticeship programmes, and early career development initiatives.
  • Source and manage third party training providers
  • Manage the people development budget and oversee relationships with external training providers and consultants.
  • Ensure training support materials and mentoring opportunities are available for apprentices/trainees
  • Managing a direct report

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 7 years’ experience in HR, Learning and Development
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing learning initiatives and leadership and management programs, capability frameworks, performance management frameworks and developing early careers.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Particulars
  • This is a hybrid role, full time 38.75 hours per week, with approximately three days spent at business locations and two days working remotely. Office-based meetings will be required as needed.
