A public health organization in the UK seeks a Learning and Development Facilitator to deliver learning programs for the Research Systems Programme. The role requires expertise in instructional design, stakeholder engagement, and digital learning methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant subject, alongside experience in eLearning design and project management. The position offers full-time flexibility, with home or remote working options.
The learning and development facilitator will be responsible for the delivery of the programme of learning for the Research Systems Programme (Future IRAS).
This post is key to the successful, safe and correct use of Future IRAS for the HRA. The post holder will work closely with the skills and capability manager but will have clear management over the digital learning required to support Future IRAS. The postholder will be expected to have experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE), instructional design principles and the design, development and delivery of e-learning.
They will support the implementation of the training strategy to achieve this including: analysis of core IT skills in the workforce including our external stakeholders and HRA community to support the use of Future IRAS. Full analysis of the current business as usual (BAU) training requirements across the HRA landscape with focus on the correct methodologies of learning to support the varying stakeholders with consideration to the 70/20/10 methodology. The postholder will focus their approach on the programme's transitions stages, set out in the roadmap. They will make sure they deliver the training strategy objectives by optimising the correct methodologies of traditional face to face learning, self-paced learning, webinars and interactive e-learning.
The post holder will provide strategic capability, learning and development advice and support to staff, managers, teams change programmes; and external stakeholders facilitating a culture where professionalism is valued.
The post holder is required to support the needs of people that deliver a service in health and social care research. The organisation is currently undertaking a once in a generation transformation, making this is a particularly interesting time for our learning and development team as we on‑board new people, processes and technology. They will drive their own work to deliver strategic capability goals that contribute to the development and implementation of Future IRAS by working with stakeholders to deliver a service that is valued.

This role sits within the HRA Resources directorate which consists of various functions that work collaboratively to provide and deliver a range of services to staff committee members and suppliers of goods and services to the organisation. The directorate functions are: HR- Finance- Governance- Commercial- Equality & Diversity- Learning & Development.
