Job description

As an Learning and Development Advisor you will provide professional, proactive and reliable coordination and administration for the Learning & Development (L&D) function. Lead day-to-day LMS administration and event coordination, capture of training data, and coordinate L&D activity across the business - including the NEXT GEN TALENT early careers scheme and management development programmes. Potential development into delivering training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Act as primary LMS administrator: maintain content, assign training, run reports and ensure central capture of all L&D activity (experience with Brainier or similar LMS desirable).
  • Plan, organise and communicate internal and external training events; coordinate logistics and timetables; keep delegates and stakeholders informed.
  • Coordinate the NEXT GEN early careers scheme events and liaise with delivery partners and internal business training contacts.
  • Support coordination and delivery of management development programmes and other L&D initiatives.
  • Manage L&D administration: inboxes, bookings, supplier liaison, invoices (where applicable) and occasionally the L&D intranet/portal.
  • Oversee distance learning and e-learning modules, and support the deployment of digital learning content, including mandatory health and safety modules.
  • Provide ad hoc project support for L&D-related projects and new initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience administering an LMS and managing training logistics.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience creating learning materials and working with e-learning tools/platforms.
  • Excellent organisational, coordination and time-management skills; methodical with close attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective communicator; able to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision; flexible and solution-focused.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
  • CIPD Level 3 in Learning & Development, AET or equivalent (desirable, not essential).
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar authoring tools.
  • Experience in LMS design and administration.
  • Creative and innovative approach to learning design.
  • Experience working across a multi-site environment or within a similar industry.
  • Experience with apprenticeship data management and reporting.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Hands‑on experience with Learning Management Systems and e‑learning deployment.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience coordinating learning initiatives and events, including stakeholder management and supplier liaison.
