Join Colchester Institute – where your career makes a difference. We are looking for a Learner Engagement & Progression Coordinator to support the Head of Learner Engagement and Progression in delivering key elements of the learner experience across the College. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the administration, coordination, monitoring and reporting of activities that enhance student engagement, development and progression.

Job Title: Learner Experience and Progression Co‑ordinator

Employment type: Full‑time, Fixed‑term contract of 18 months.

What you'll do
  • Personal Development Programme
    • Support the development, planning and organisation of the College’s Personal Development curriculum.
    • Assist with ongoing evaluation and improvement based on learner feedback and outcomes.
  • Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
    • Provide strong administrative support to the CEIAG team, including scheduling employer talks and preparing materials.
    • Support coordination of CEIAG activity across curriculum areas.
    • Track learner engagement and maintain accurate CEIAG records.
    • Assist with producing reports on delivery and learner outcomes.
  • Work Placement Monitoring
    • Record and report headline information on learner attendance at external work placements and engagement with work‑related activity against curriculum targets.
  • Enrichment & Student Experience
    • Support the delivery of enrichment activities and learner voice initiatives, helping students engage in a wide range of social, cultural and personal development opportunities.
    • Coordinate and promote a calendar of events in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
    • Assist with risk assessments, permissions and logistics to ensure activities run safely and smoothly.
  • Learner Voice
    • Support the planning and delivery of surveys, focus groups and student council meetings.
    • Help collect, record and present learner feedback to support continuous improvement across the College.
    • Maintain accurate records of feedback and subsequent actions.
  • General Administration & Support
    • Maintain accurate databases and records relating to learner development activities.
    • Produce timely reports for management and quality assurance processes.
    • Provide administrative support to the Head of Learner Engagement and Progression and contribute to team planning and meetings.
