Job summary

Hull Culture & Leisure requires a casual Swimming Teacher to deliver the National Curriculum Key Stage 2 swimming programme and the Learn to Swim after-school programme. You will teach a full range of swimming skills to people of all ages and abilities in a safe, well-supervised environment, including children with physical or learning difficulties.

Role involves organizing lessons, maintaining safety protocols, preparing lesson plans, and tracking progress.

Responsibilities

• promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.
• organise, pre-assess, teach, motivate and re-assess swimmers at all levels to meet criteria.
• ensure pupils learn to swim in a safe environment following procedures.
• respond to emergencies to ensure safety and administer life support when needed.
• prepare and deliver schemes of work and lesson plans; record progress.
