Job summary

KNDS UK is seeking a Packaging and Logistics Engineer to optimise materials movement, storage, and protection for Boxer MIV and Bridge systems. You will drive PFEP implementation, packaging solutions, and efficient internal material flow across the site, while applying lean principles to reduce waste and cut costs.

The role involves leading packaging standardisation, coordinating with MP&L teams, and ensuring accurate engineering and ERP data to support production and procurement decisions.

Qualifications

• PFEP methodology understanding and lean principles such as waste reduction and 5S.
• Proven ability to develop inbound/outbound packaging solutions and optimise material flow.
• Experience with packaging suppliers and cost-saving initiatives.
• Knowledge of PFEP data management and ERP data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead PFEP database and develop packaging solutions for inbound materials and internal flow.
• Collaborate with MP&L teams to ensure safe, efficient packaging and transport.
• Design returnable packaging loops to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Standardise packaging formats and suppliers to reduce complexity.
• Configure Kanban levels, storage locations, and labeling standards.
• Manage packaging inventory to support production while minimising space.
