Job summary

Safran Gloucester hosts a Manufacturing Engineering role focused on new product introductions, process improvement, and efficient production operations. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive lean manufacturing and digitalisation across the shop floor.

We value experience in lean principles, clear technical documentation, and CAD tools such as CATIA V5 and 3DEXPERIENCE/DELMIA, plus a strong understanding of HSE requirements and flow/ Pulse Line production methods.

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate technical documentation.
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 or equivalent CAD software.
• Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE/DELMIA (Dassault Systèmes).
• Understanding of HSE and ergonomic requirements.
• Knowledge of Flow Line and Pulse Line production methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introductions and production activities.
• Assist with process improvement and cost reduction projects.
• Contribute to equipment and tooling development initiatives.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Support PFMEAs, process validation, and PPAP activities.
• Assist with root cause investigations and problem-solving exercises.
• Track project progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Drive quality, efficiency, and lead-time improvements using lean principles.
• Support non-conformance activities and rework instruction creation.
• Help implement digital and paperless manufacturing solutions.
