Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Lean 4 Proof Engineer to formalize advanced mathematics for AI training. You will translate informal proofs into Lean 4 code and collaborate with researchers to push the boundaries of machine-verifiable mathematics.

This fully remote, hourly contract offers 10–40 hours per week for mathematically mature individuals proficient in Lean and other proof assistants. You will test proof strategies and contribute to robust formalization pipelines.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Logic, or theoretical CS.
• Strong background in proof writing and mathematical reasoning.
• Experience with Lean or other proof assistants is required.

Responsibilities

• Translate informal proofs into Lean 4 formalizations.
• Analyze proofs across algebra, analysis, topology, logic.
• Develop readable, reproducible Lean proofs following best practices.
• Collaborate with researchers to improve verification pipelines.
• Identify gaps and prove generalizations within formal systems.
