Leadership Opportunity SEND - SENDCO or Deputy Head (Work from Home)

Location: Work from home/Berkshire (with some initial travel required)

Salary: Middle of the Leadership Scale

3 days per week. One year initial contract.

A well-regarded alternative provision in Berkshire is seeking an experienced and passionate SENDCO or Deputy Head with excellent SEND experience to join its senior team. This is a remote-working role, with initial travel required to meet pupils and families across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping inclusive education for vulnerable learners aged 5-16 who are educated other than at home.

The provision are very proud to support young people, families, and schools across the borough and neighbouring authorities, offering bespoke educational, emotional, and behavioural support. As we expand our services and strive for exceptional provision, we are looking for someone who can help lead this journey.

This role would suit:

  • qualified SENDCO with leadership and EHCP experience
  • Deputy Headteacher with a strong track record in SEND, EHCPs and inclusion

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of EHCPs and the legal framework related to them
  • Ability to build effective relationships with parents
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor provision and pupil progress
  • Experience managing complex casework and meeting statutory deadlines
  • A solution-focused mindset with confidence in resolving challenges
