Job description

Lead Water Treatment Engineer

Location: Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £25k – £37k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting for a dynamic Lead Water Treatment Engineer to head up new client contracts in the South East of England. You will join a privately‑owned Water / Legionella outfit with a growing team of site engineers.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a lead engineer on ACOP L8 compliance projects, ensuring works are completed on schedule and in line with industry guidelines.
• Oversee allocation of works for optimum efficiency.
• Take the lead on cleans & disinfections of CWST, showerhead descales, TMV servicing and basic outlet flushes.
• Perform routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Support new and existing team members with training and technical support.
• Serve as the key point of contact for clients, answering technical/logistical questions and troubleshooting.
• Travel to client sites as required and complete regular service reports.

Qualifications & experience:

• Strong experience as a Water Treatment Engineer within a specialist Water / Legionella company.
• Excellent understanding of ACOP L8 & HSG 274 guidelines.
• Training courses such as TMV Servicing, Cleans & Disinfections are a plus.
• Plumbing / remedial experience or related qualifications beneficial but not essential.
• Confident in leading projects and supporting other engineers.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills; IT literate.
